How to Choose the Correct Packing Material for Flow Packing Machine
The packing machine material is very import for the flow packing machine, the right film can affect your packaging machine speed, the package appearance, the package leakage rate. What’s more, the correct packing material can help reduce product wastes and the film wastes also. Then you can try to following tips once you buy packing materials.
1. Flow Packing Machine Film Type
For flow packing machine, we suggested to use the following material.
A: Opp/CPP, PE/PT, KOP/CPP
B: ALU-FOL (Aluminum coated film)
For flow packing machine will divide the packaging material as two types. A type is combined film (Opp/CPP, PE/PT, KOP/CPP are ok ), the B type is aluminum coated film. If your film is belong to the B type, please inform your supplier because the cutter need to customized. That will will be good for the package.
2. Horizontal Packing Machine Film Thickness
Film thickness is 50-60 micro will be much better for the flow packing machine. If your film is B type( Aluminum coated film), the thickness should be less than 60 μm. If over this, the package not very good and leakage rate will be higher. If the packing machine material is A type, the film thickness around 50μm will be good for package. The leakage rate will be much lower. If you have higher requirement about the package leakage, please send some sample for testing. (Lotus: [email protected])
3. Eye Mark and Color
Normally the flow packing machine need eye make on the film, if you don’t want it. You need to manual set the bag length, instead if the film has eye mark, our horizontal packing machine can automatic detect the eye marks.
♦ Eye Mark Color
The eye mark color can not similar with back ground color. Normally, the film supplier will leave the background color as white and the eye mark colour is black or dark blue. Refer the eye mark picture
♦ The Eye Mark Size
The eye marks around 4-5 CM will be good for the packaging machine detect.
♦ The Eye Mark Location
The eye mark location is the beg length. In order word, the eye mark should between two bags.
♦ Bag Length Calculation Formula
Please notice this is just for reference, based on flow packaging machine industry. Need to double confirm with your film supplier.
Bag Length=Product Length+Product Height+30 mm
4. The Roller Diameter and Total Film Diameter ( Refer to the Picture)
The inner roller diameter should be 55-70MM, and the total film diameter should be less then 380 mm.
5. Film Width
The film width also very important data for flow horizontal packing machine, please check the following formula. ( Please noticed this formula just base on packing machine industry.)
Film Width=(Product Width+Product Height)*2+30 mm

7. The Welding Temperature Range About the Flow Packaging Machine
For the cold film, the temperature around 70-80 degree.
For the normal film type, the packaging machine welding temperature around 140-150 degree.
